Elder Allen’s
Messianic Music List
lots of folks have asked for it, here it is.
Several folks have asked me, after services, where to find some of the songs we perform during worship. Messianic music is a hard genre of music to locate if you don’t know where to look. The following is a list (may add additional artists and resources as they come to mind) of some of my favorites. Check back later. Links to the artist’s websites will follow the entries.

Troy Mitchell
Worship leader Troy Mitchell brings a fresh and authentic voice to Messianic Judaism. Mitchell’s original songs draw from the Gospels, the Hebrew of the Tanach, the Midrash, synagogue prayers, and first-century liturgy—even utilizing the Greek of the Apostolic Scriptures—to bring a fusion of Chassidic joy, gospel hope, jazz, and soulish prayer focused on the light of Messiah. His ability to almost become one with the music comes from his 20 some years of leading and/or playing with worship bands. Mitchell has been challenged by blindness most of his life and has used music as a way to connect with Hashem and other people. His love for the Psalms, liturgy, the words of Yeshua and his involvement in the synagogue has given the movement unique melodies and niguns, but even more than that, it has instilled in him a passion to see everyone have the chance to draw closer to Hashem through music and prayer
Marty Goetz
Emmy nominated, Marty Goetz has been called a modern day psalmist. His songs are scriptures beautifully set to music, leaving listeners spiritually moved, inspired and educated. With melodic and fresh acoustical/classic arrangements, Marty Goetz has the ability to lead you into a place of true intimacy with God.
In 1965, when thirteen year-old MARTY GOETZ stood at the bimah of Cleveland’s Temple on the Heights for his Bar-mitzvah and solemnly sang the ancient words of the Torah, no one — least of all Marty — could have envisioned that some twenty years later he would be singing to God, this time as a featured performer at Billy Graham’s Rally in Central Park.
LAMB
Lamb, consisting of Joel Chernoff (lead singer/songwriter) and Rick “Levi” Coghill (producer/guitarist) was formed in 1972, and is considered by many to be the music group responsible for pioneering and popularizing Messianic Jewish music. Lamb, whose recordings have sold over 600,000 copies, has produced 14 Messianic recordings many of which have reached Top 10 status on the contemporary religious charts.
