MAKING DISCIPLES

Shabbat Shalom and welcome to the Beit Zayit Messianic Congregation morning shabbat service. We are a group of Jews and Gentiles, who are one in Messiah. We call Jesus by his Aramaic name, Yeshua, a name meaning salvation. Yeshua was a Jewish rabbi that lived a Jewish life, a life that was free from sin. He taught and kept the Torah. We believe Yeshua is the son of David, the prophesied Messiah of Israel, and redeemer of the world. Our service begins with traditional liturgy and prayers; prayers that you can find in hardcopies of your siddur or you may follow along with the words provided on your screen. After these prayers, we will transition into a time of praise and worship, filled with Davidic dance and musical songs of praise. Congregants will then read sections of the Torah, the Haftorah, and the B’rit Chadashah sections of the Bible, and then a short presentation, called a d’rash, will be given on this week’s Torah portion. This will be followed by some specific prayers and then a teaching will be presented by a member of Beit Zayit’s leadership. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who's visiting us in-person or watching online for the first time this morning. Whether you're just having a look, or are searching out for a place to worship, we're delighted to have you here. In-person visitors, please fill out a Kesher card that you'll be handed shortly. Kesher means connection. You can place these cards in the tzedachah box in the hall at the conclusion of the service.
